One of the three Serbs injured in conflicts with KFOR near Rudare, Zvečan Municipality, Kosovo, has been seriously wounded and his life is in danger, the head of the Kosovska Mitrovica hospital, dr Milena Cvetković, said. She said several other persons had been injured, but doctors were prevented by KFOR from reaching them. She said she had personally asked a KFOR officer, lieutenant-colonel Lynch, to let her pass and see if anyone is injured, but he would not talk to her at all and said he would talk only with the municipal president, adding that KFOR has medical teams if necessary.
KFOR started removing the barricades near Rudare on Friday, at 8.30 am and have set several checkpoints meanwhile. When Serbs opposed the removal of the barricades, KFOR used teargas, rubber bullets and even rifle fire against them.
