Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic had talks in Rio de Janeiro with high officials of Hungary, Turkey and Morocco, but he also had informal meetings with foreign ministers of Brazil and Bulgaria. All meetings went on in a friendly atmosphere and mutual respect, with stressing the fact that obtaining the date to commence the negotiations on Serbia’s association with the EU is one of the prime goals of the Serbian foreign policy. In expectation that the new government will be formed as soon as possible, foreign officials have wished Serbia to be successful in the economic recovery, it has been communicated from the presidential press service. The Serbian delegation is partaking at the UN Summit on sustainable development in Rio de Janeiro.
