Members of the delegation also offered to cooperate with the new Serbian government in resolving problems faced by the industry, it was communicated by the President’s cabinet. It has been assessed that pharmaceutical industry is in a poor condition because of two key causes - deficit of the state health insurance fund, which already owes 23 billion dinars, and the excessive length of drug registration process and approval of prices of new products. So far, Stada group has invested 700 million euros in "Hemofarm", which is the biggest German investment in Serbia.
