The overall situation in northern Kosmet is still fragile, with possible deterioration, so the KFOR Command has asked for the activation of the German-Austrian battalion of Operative Reserve Forces, communicated the German Ministry of Defense. The assessment of the KFOR Commander in early August indicates that in the past three months the freedom of move for EULEX has been much improved, but the situation is still not stable. On the basis of that assessment, the KFOR Commander has asked for the ORG battalion to stay in Kosmet at least by December 15. It has been confirmed for TANJUG as well that the extended mandate has been required for that battalion.
