The Belgrade Hotel Moscow hosts the first job fair called "Back2Serbia", dedicated to all Serbian citizens living abroad, as well as young people looking for new challenges in their career development. Olivera Milovanovic has more.
The two-day fair "Back2Serbia" was organized at the initiative of a team of enthusiasts from Serbia and Europe, with a goal to provide necessary information on the latest economic trends and job opportunities in the country to those living in the country and especially to Serbian citizens who plan to return and seek employment in homeland. According to Deputy Minister of Religion and Diaspora Djordje Prstojevic, the Ministry has immediately supported the idea of the fair organizers, because the Ministry itself has invested a lot of effort to encourage the return of young people of Serbian origin, who have lived or been educated abroad. He reminded that the Ministry had similar initiatives, including the most successful summer practice for students from the Serbian Diaspora in the prominent domestic and foreign companies in Serbia.
Speaking about the employment opportunities for young professionals in Serbia, Director of the Job Fair "Back2Serbia" Snezana Rajkinska said that many young professionals from the Serbian Diaspora, which is among the most numerous in the world, want to participate in the development of their homeland. She said she believes in the future of Serbia that has all that is needed to be economically the most developed country in Southeastern Europe.
The first Job Fair for young professionals from abroad attracted a lot of attention, says Milica Perisic, one of the organizers of the Fair. So far, more than 600 applications have been sent to www.back2serbia.com. A rather good turnout, according to her, shows that the concept is justified, that the young Serbs should get gather in their homeland, where they would achieve the superior professional results. It is also a good opportunity for young professionals to share their international experience with their colleagues, who have not had the opportunity to work or study abroad, says Milica Perisic.
This year, representatives of 15 companies operating in Serbia participate at the Job Fair "Back2Serbia".
