Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić said in Washington, DC, that Serbia was resolute to promote relations with the Organization of American States, which represents one of the major structures for securing peace, stability and prosperity. OAS members wish to leave a safer and more peaceful world to future generations, Jeremic said at a sitting of the OAS Permanent Council. He said Serbia supports the idea that international stability and prosperity cannot be strengthened if the stands of most countries in the global family of nations are not considered. He said that Serbia is the only observing country that has been present at the ministerial level at the four most recent OAS general assemblies, which shows Serbia’s resolve to promote relations with that organization further.
